Just a lil spotlight on Heather Bailey, only because her lovelies make me swoon.

do you dig it too? i mean c'mon look at that baby ring stacker!
how awesome are these little booties?
well, you can make these all by yourself, for free.
you can download the free pattern from heather bailey here.
you can shop her patterns, fabric, felt, scrapbooking & all kinds of goodies here.
or you can go hang out & read her blog here.

let your colors burst

today my mom and i took my daugther with us for her first trip to the fabric district in LA- very exciting for her, she comes from a long line of sewists :) i put her in my babyhawk & she slept through the whole thing, but that's okay- many more trips to come.
can't shop for fabric on a hungry
 stomach & gotta love the
bacon wrapped hotdogs off the street.
funky imported fabric,
i have several in stock on the bottom right
and the lovely amy butler.
the way some people feel about
 ice cream & their flavors
is how i feel about fabric & their colors.
lil mamas sleeping
with her bottle on the way home.

bored with mobiles

bridgett gets bored of her mobiles so fast [or maybe it's me?] so i started snooping around my google reader for diy ideas to keep my lil' mamas entertained.
we started with just pink & gray poms above her crib.
then i added this mobile from tiny love + teething rings to it [see the black & white one hanging]. lately i've been propping up my ipad in there to play wonder pets- which she loves & talks back to.

here are my favorites from the roundup, which do you like best? maybe i'll do them all & switch them out every week...

fabric & smiles.

have you seen a baby any happier in her car seat? she loves running errands with her mama. i picked up new fabric today & ordered more online:: can't wait to show you my dresses in the new colors.

small craft

i'm thinking about participating in an online class called Small Craft. The class features 30 handmade projects for your kids. i thought it would be great with all the holidays coming up. Small Craft is 6 weeks long and features step-by-step photos with simple instructions designed for both beginners and seasoned crafters. It includes video tutorials as well as two Q&A video chat sessions. it's $60 to register. what do you think? anyone want to do it with me?
