gettting ready for [Queen Bee Market]

 hi all. i miss you very much! i have been quite the busy little sewist lately. this past month, i have successfully reduced order time from 4 weeks to 7-10 days or "ready to ship" [and sometimes sooner, yay!]. i also was honored to be a Queen Bee Market vendor at the san diego show this past weekend. here are some photos of me getting my booth ready at home! i'll post more from the show a little bit later.

i guess you can't write vertically on envelopes... because it makes the mailman mad.

anyway, i'm celebrating my {mom} today, and I leave for Washington, D.C. on a field trip with my students on Tuesday--so Monday-- I promise I'll fix them for you!

baseball and ballet

Last Tuesday, Cory and I went to the Angel v. Tigers game. Cory got the tickets from his boss at Pepsi, and they were such great seats! We were three rows behind the visiting teams dugout. That was "A" great game!


I didn't get home until after 11:00 p.m. (which is very late for a school night!), but was pleasantly suprised to find two very large boxes waiting for me on my door step. When I leaned over to get a better a look, I saw that they were from Bed, Bath, & Beyond... YESSSS, this means registry :) :)

Well, I opened them up to find eight place settings of my Waterford Ballet Ribbon china!


I couldn't believe it. God is so good. I'm pretty much still in shock. It took me all of two seconds to call Cory and scream. A big big big thank you to everyone who is blessing us during this time in our life.


Tomorrow my parents, Cory, and I will be going down to Balboa in Newport for a childhood friends wedding. I am so excited for wedding season, and can't wait to see her dance the night away with the love of her life! Then, the following weekend, a childhood friend of my moms is hosting a kitchen shower for me with all their high school friends. I can't wait to see all the recipes they are bringing.

Waterford china... kitchen supplies... old family recipes... I'm feeling very inspired. Bring on the dinner parties :]

wedding shower

My first wedding shower was this past weekend, and it was soo much fun! I want to thank everyone who came, and for my hostesses. Allison did such a great job, and it all went so smoothly. Thank you Mom for all the extra errands and creativity. Thank you Becca for coming over to help with the flowers. Thank you Stacy for keeping track of thank-you's, and helping with the fake bridesmaid bouquets :] Thank you Whitney for help on the games, flowers, and organization. Thank you Gina and Victoria for all day. And thank you to everyone who had to travel to be there! The shower couldn't have been more perfect!

I decided i love our registry. Instead of opening up wedding/shower gifts all in one day, I get to cheat and get little suprises every day. I call Cory and beam all about the little things. Like today for example... Someone bought us a pizza cutter, and it gave me the biggest smile-- so excited for my shower Saturday :] haha
